Casting Workshop - future session TBC

Give yourself or a loved one a 3-hour treat of a weekend workshop session in March. In a small class of 6, Rekha will take you through mould-making fundamentals, working with Jesmonite and colour mixing to create the base for your one of a kind candleholder. This will be cast in Jesmonite to take home as your own special piece, no two will be the same! Starting at 10:30am, the programme will include:

• A brief introduction to Rekha Maker and my work

• How I go about making a formwork for a design with demonstration.

• Everyone will make a formwork to cast a candle holder using materials provided

• Tea/coffee break with biscuits whilst formwork dries

• Casting jesmonite and colour mixing demonstration

• Everyone casts their pieces

• Demould and sand your piece!

This is suitable for any level of experience - I'll guide you the whole way. 

Materials included.
Please bring an apron, or wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty, jesmonite stains!
